Scail operates the Scail website and Optimaize, a service that analyzes AI-agent execution information and provides optimization findings and recommendations. This Privacy Policy explains how Scail collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains information when you visit our website, contact us, apply for an evaluation or beta program, or use Optimaize.
Information We Collect
Contact and Business Information
When you contact us, apply for an Optimaize evaluation, join the beta, or otherwise interact with Scail, we may collect your name, work email address, organization and role, company website, information about your AI agent, workflow, tracing system, approximate usage, evaluation or optimization priorities, and other information you voluntarily provide.
Website and Technical Information
When you use our website or services, we may receive limited technical information such as browser or device information, IP address, timestamps, page visits, service usage information, and diagnostic or performance information. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and understand use of our website and services.
Customer Content
When you use Optimaize, you may submit AI-agent execution traces, workflow definitions or descriptions, model, token, latency, cost, and execution metadata, prompts and model outputs, tool-call information, retrieval or source information, configuration information, and other technical information associated with an agent execution. We refer to this as Customer Content. It may contain personal, confidential, or proprietary information depending on what you choose to submit. Scail processes Customer Content to provide Optimaize, including analyzing execution behavior and generating findings, recommendations, candidate workflow changes, and related results.
How We Use Information
Scail may use information to provide and operate Optimaize; process submitted traces and workflow information; generate requested analyses and recommendations; review evaluation or beta applications; communicate with users and prospective customers; provide support; maintain and secure systems; detect abuse, errors, or technical problems; improve functionality, reliability, and usability; understand general website and service usage; and comply with applicable legal obligations. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into any evaluation or beta program.
Customer Content and Model Training
You retain ownership of your Customer Content. Scail does not sell Customer Content or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Optimaize may use third-party AI model APIs as part of an analysis, using business or API services under which inputs and outputs are not used for general-purpose model training by default. Scail does not voluntarily opt Customer Content into provider model-training or model-improvement programs. We may improve Optimaize using customer feedback, product usage information, aggregated operational patterns, or information that does not require training a model on a customer’s proprietary trace content.
Data Minimization and Sensitive Information
Where supported, Optimaize may profile, sample, normalize, filter, or redact execution information to reduce unnecessary transfer or processing of raw trace data. You should not intentionally submit passwords, API keys or authentication tokens, private credentials, payment-card information, protected health information, highly sensitive personal information, or other specially regulated information unless Scail has expressly agreed in writing to process that type of information. Submit Customer Content only when you have the rights and authorization necessary for it to be processed by Scail and its service providers.
Service Providers
Scail uses third-party service providers to operate its website and Optimaize, including cloud infrastructure and storage, AI model processing, website hosting, email and communications, monitoring and diagnostics, and analytics. These providers may process information on Scail’s behalf as reasonably necessary to provide their services. The public Scail website is currently hosted using Framer. Website form submissions may be processed through Framer and delivered to Scail.
Data Retention
Scail retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing the service, maintaining security, resolving technical issues, maintaining business records, and complying with legal obligations. For the Optimaize beta, raw trace artifacts are retained for up to 7 days after processing. Normalized trace information, findings, recommendations, and analysis results are retained for up to 30 days. You may request earlier deletion of your Customer Content. Some service providers may retain limited information according to their contractual retention policies, and contact information, business correspondence, security records, and legally required records may be retained longer where reasonably necessary.
Data Security
Scail uses administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted network transmission, protections for stored data, and restrictions on access to production systems and Customer Content. No internet service or method of electronic transmission can guarantee absolute security. Analytics, Choices, and Third-Party Links
Scail may use website analytics to understand general website usage and performance. Where the site uses only Framer’s built-in analytics and those analytics do not rely on non-essential analytics cookies or persistent identifiers, Scail does not separately deploy those technologies. If Scail introduces third-party analytics, advertising, embedded content, or other technologies requiring additional notice or consent, we will update our disclosures and consent controls as appropriate. Scail does not sell Customer Content or personal information submitted through applications or contact forms, and does not use Customer Content for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. Depending on where you live, you may contact Scail to ask what personal information we maintain, request correction or deletion, withdraw from non-essential communications, or ask questions about processing. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. The service is intended for organizations, developers, and business professionals; it is not directed to children under 13. Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services, and Scail is not responsible for their privacy practices or content.
We may update this Privacy Policy as our website, services, or data practices change. When we make changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page and provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
